Review: The Bad Batch “Aftermath”

Star Wars fans rejoice! The Bad Batch hits Disney plus with a bang!

As Star Wars: Clone Wars proved, there is still a lot story left to tell in a galaxy far far away.

Taking place directly after The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch follows Clone Force 99. This elite squadron is filled with five imperfect clones: Hunter, Crosshair, Tech, Echo, and Wrecker. Together they are known as “The Bad Batch.’’

This 72-minute premiere episode begins when order 66 comes down from Palpatine to execute all remaining Jedi. It’s revealed that Clone Force 99 doesn’t know what the instructions mean and, in turn, disobey the orders.

The Bad Batch is an extension of The Clone Wars series and gives fans a chance to see what happens next. The show starts a bit slow, but the intrigue increases throughout the pilot.

You will fall in love with this band of mayhem-causing misfits and a new character introduced, a young girl by the name of Omega (Michelle Ang). Her wonderment is endearing and will have you questioning what’s next for her story.

The pilot episode does a fantastic job of laying the land and introducing each character. Because of this, The Clone Wars series is not required viewing.

Also, Dee Bradley Baker is extraordinary as he voices all of the clones. He does a fantastic job giving each character a personality that shines.

While it may start slow, your intrigue will never subside. About halfway through, The Bad Batch kicks into hyper speed and ends with a huge reveal that will have you hooked and waiting for episode two.
