Chatting with Jay Baruchel and Director Michael Dowse at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival, we take a deep dive into the life and stunt of Canada’s own Ken Carter. The northern side of the coin to Evel Kneival’s souther in the US, Ken Carter made his mark, not with motor bike’s, but with rocket cars. Jay talks about his thoughts on the man and how he wanted to embody some equally courageous and foolish. They talk about building the rocket car and casting the right people for this film. Jay also touches on how he not only portrayed Ken, but also saw his dad in his role.
