Max Landis talks Dirk Gently Season 2, Red Letter Media, & Neil Breen

While at the Dirk Gently press lineup for Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, I was given the opportunity to speak with showrunner Robert Cooper and creator Max Landis. We discussed the craziness of the show, how they are approaching season two (in a way only Max Landis can describe it), and I got to ask my nerdiest question ever: how Max Landis feels about cult filmmaker Neil Breen. Check it out:

This was a very special interview for me, as I’m a huge Max Landis fan and have always wanted to talk Neil Breen with him. While I’m typically behind the camera (and rightfully so), I was allowed this little jaunt into interviewer status so that I could get a patented Landis rave regarding Breen. For those unaware, Neil Breen is a Las Vegas-based filmmaker known for no-budget spectacles such as Fateful Findings and Double Down, which Red Letter Media’s Rich Evans attempted to describe in on of their most memorable moments. He’s currently raising money for his fifth film over on GoFundMe.

Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency returns to BBC America in October 2017. Check out the first look for the epic second season below!
