Review: Bloodshot

In the near future, technology reigns supreme in daily lives, helping to save people, but also aiding in the destruction of many. Ray Garrison (Vin Diesel) thinks little of technology beyond what it can do for him. As a soldier, his job is accomplishing his mission and saving the good people. Something he has done many times, more so than he even realizes.

Awaking in a lab, he discovers that he has no knowledge of what brought him there, or even, who he is. Introduced to the staff, he works to recall his past. Finding out that he died and has been made a test subject, does little to alleviate his mind. Though discovering the tiny robots in his blood have made him into a superior being does not help clear his mental fog.

That is until a song triggers his memory, and vengeance rears its head. He know who hurt him, and killed his wife. With his new body, he hunts down the one responsible. And this is the cycle that Ray Garrison has fallen in to. As we soon realize that he is just a billion dollar puppet soldier doing others bidding.

Through instances of caring and fear, people align themselves with Ray to help free him and stop the slaughter he is unknowingly committing.

RN review of Bloodshot

Bloodshot is actually a fun and care-free action sci-fi film. I'd recommend it for those that want to enjoy a film with little to no in-depth thought involved. Sometimes you just need an explosive film with grand fights scenes. And who better to deliver it than Vin Diesel, in a white tank top...again.
