Marvel Entertainment has dropped the first trailer for their fifth Streaming Series, ‘Hawkeye.’ This can be seen in Dragon Movie Guy’s Hawkeye Trailer Reaction at the end of this article.

The original Avenger’s Disney+ show stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, and Florence Pugh as ‘Yelena Belova’.

The Details – Hawkeye Streaming Series

‘Hawkeye’ features 8 episodes and premieres on Disney+ on November 24th.

Like many of the other Marvel Cinematic Universe properties, ‘Hawkeye’ seems to be setting up a passing of the baton, getting younger actors and characters to pick up the mantle of our named heroes.

Hailee Steinfeld joins the cast as ‘Kate Bishop’, an expert with the bow and arrow herself. Kate Bishop appears to be set up to take over the ‘Hawkeye’ mantle, just as Yelena Belova recently took over ‘Black Widow’, Sam Wilson took over ‘Captain America’, and as Jane Foster looks to take over ‘Thor’ in the upcoming fourth Thor film, ‘Love And Thunder’.

Christmas Time – Hawkeye Trailer Reaction

The setting for this series has all the holiday spirit of Christmas time in New York, as we see Clint Barton and his three kids attend a Captain America themed play, ‘Rogers: The Musical’. How fitting is it that the ONLY Original Avenger to NOT get his own solo film gets overshadowed by Captain America in this series?

Andy Williams ‘Most Wonderful Time Of The Year’, playing in the background, we also get the Christmas Tree outside of 30 Rock, Clint swinging from Christmas lights, and even Reindeer antlers on a dog.

This is the first Christmas themed project since Iron Man 3. Could we see MORE holiday themed MCU projects? Halloween themed Doctor Strange movie? How about a Mardi-Gras themed Iron Man prequel? Food for thought!

Where is Laura?

Conspicuously absent from the trailer, and not listed on IMDb for ANY of the episodes is Linda Cardellini’s ‘Laura Barton’. Cardellini got significant screen time in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and was one of the first people shown as returning after the Snap in Avengers: Endgame.

So, how can we do a Clint Barton/Hawkeye solo series and NOT have Hawkeye’s better half?
