Fantastic Fest 26′ – Into the Sky “A Rom-Com with a side of Alien abduction”
Chatting with Director / Writers Drew Mylrea, Evan Buxbaum and cast member Fiona Rene we got into this funny and sticky comedy at the 2026 Fantastic Fest. We first had to talk about the “Alien” in the room and how this cast throttles the film into outer space. Being abducted has never been funnier with Sam Richardson and David Cross finding a commonality that is less than ideal. Breaking down everything from the relationships, the the “Alien goo”, we had a blast talking about this new film.

Story: All Bobby (Richardson) wants is to fix his marriage. But he keeps waking up naked in random places covered in blue goo. When his wife splits town and rents their cabin, Bobby must form an uneasy alliance with Nico (Black-D’Elia) – the impulsive event planner now living in his house. But Bobby’s tenuous quest to reunite with his wife is thrown into chaos when a clingy, fellow-abductee (Cross) begins stalking him…with a very unsettling plan…that has much bigger implications than Bobby realizes.
