Yes, some of these are chick flicks. Yes, some of these are old. No, that doesn’t make them any less enjoyable when you’re stuck at home. This is a list of thrills, laughs, and love to help get you through quarantine

10. Warm Bodies

I’m kicking off this list with a strange, yet warm relationship between a zombie and a human. This star-crossed tale of love will bring an unlikely romance to your screen while you’re locked inside.

9. Bird Box

A war where the enemy is something you can’t see…. Sound familiar? The only way to survive an unknown force is to keep yourself blinded. When you look past all the memes this movie created, it’s actually pretty good.

8. The Maze Runner

They’re all basically in quarantine.

Teens try to fight their way through a deadly maze. What happens when you make it through? A major twist that’s what. Honestly, it’s an underrated franchise. The first film had me on the edge of my seat. And to be honest It still holds my attention.

7. World War Z

A pandemic threatens to consume humanity. Or as I like to call it, Brad Pitt kills zombies for two hours.

6. Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World

I’m a sucker for a good love story. What’s better than finding love three weeks before the world is set to be destroyed by an asteroid. It’s quirky and cute. This movie may have you looking for love in an apocalypse.

Streaming on Hulu, Amazon Prime, and available on VOD

5. Armageddon

An oldie but a goody. Once again, the earth is threatened by an asteroid. Now, this film has had some negative reviews, but I love it for what it is. This is a disaster movie mixed with a love story, has just the right amount of cheese to bring you joy. Plus there’s a sense of comfort watching Bruce Willis try to save the earth.

Available on VOD and streaming on Hulu

4. Zombieland

An unlikely duo and a pair of sisters join forces to make their way through a zombie-infested America.

We may not be able to get toilet paper, but at least we can still buy Twinkies.

Available on Hulu and VOD

3. Zombieland: Double Tap

The gang teams up again to face faster and stronger zombies.

I think this was a totally underrated sequel. And Adding Zoey Deutch to this cast was the best decision ever made.

Available on VOD

2. Rapture-Palooza

Crude with a hint of cute. Anna Kendrick takes on the Anti-Christ (played by Craig Robinson) need I say more? It’s one of those rare finds that turns out to be wickedly funny. This is the perfect movie to put on and laugh your worries away.

Streaming on Netflix and available on VOD

1. Mad Max: Fury Road

Charlize Theron being awesome in a post-apocalyptic wasteland as she tries to free enslaved women. I mean, what more could you want?
